Indiana General Assembly Organizing Day
Today is Organizational Day for the Indiana General Assembly. Today is also the day Hoosier veterans have to keep watch on our legislators to ensure they stand with our veterans. Last year they attempted to severely gut our prized tuition fee remission for children of disabled veterans. Along with other advocates against SB577, I co-founded Hoosier Veterans United as a grassroots advocacy organization to ensure our the voices of our military and veterans are heard by policymakers. We spent the 2011 playing defense, this year we will play offense. What issues or proposals do you want the Indiana General Assembly to focus on to take care of those who defend our nation?
